This week, our school has been proudly celebrating National Kindness Week, and every year group has been busy taking part in activities designed to spread kindness, friendship and positivity throughout our school and local community.

During the week, children worked together to create a variety of thoughtful items to include in special Kindness Packages. Pupils showed fantastic creativity by making beautiful bookmarks, colourful positivity pebbles, delicious cakes, and handmade friendship bracelets. Each gift was carefully created with the aim of brightening someone else's day and showing how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Alongside these activities, classes have been carrying out random acts of kindness throughout the week. From helping friends with their learning and offering words of encouragement, to tidying shared spaces and showing extra care towards others, our pupils have demonstrated what it means to be kind every day.

The highlight of our week took place today when a group of children visited Westvale Care Home to deliver some of our Kindness Packages to the residents. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to connect with members of the local community, share conversations and spread smiles. Residents were delighted to receive the thoughtful gifts, and the children were proud to see the positive impact their kindness had made.

National Kindness Week has been a fantastic reminder that kindness is something we can all show every day. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for embracing the spirit of the week so enthusiastically and for helping to make our school and community a happier place.

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." This week, our children have certainly proved that to be true. 💙
