At Westbrook Old Hall, enrichment plays a vital role in supporting pupils’ personal development and enhancing their school experience. We are committed to providing a wide range of opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom and help children develop confidence, independence and a broad range of interests.

Pupils benefit from a variety of educational visits and experiences, including residential opportunities such as the Year 2 residential visit, which promote teamwork, resilience and independence. These experiences are carefully planned to enrich the curriculum and support children’s social and emotional development.

A strong emphasis is placed on music and performance, with pupils regularly taking part in choir, orchestra and trust wide concerts. Westbrook Old Hall has been recognised for its commitment to music and provides opportunities for children to perform both within school and in the wider community.

Sport also plays an important role in enrichment at Westbrook Old Hall. Pupils take part in a range of physical activities, competitions and festivals, supported by high quality facilities and provision, including a resurfaced multi use games area.

In addition, a variety of clubs, structured lunchtime activities and after school opportunities are offered, giving children the chance to explore new interests, develop talents and build positive relationships. These opportunities contribute significantly to pupils’ wellbeing, engagement and enjoyment of school life.

Through a rich and varied enrichment programme, Westbrook Old Hall ensures that all pupils have the opportunity to broaden their experiences, build cultural capital and develop as well rounded individuals.
