To further strengthen leadership and governance at Westbrook Old Hall Primary School, the Trustees of the Trust have agreed to establish an Interim Executive Committee (IEC), effective from 21 January 2026. This new committee replaces the previous Local Governing Body.

The IEC is a committee of the Trust Board and is made up of experienced trustees, along with a representative from the former Local Governing Body. Together, they bring a strong blend of skills and expertise in areas such as safeguarding, school improvement, and strategic leadership.

The IEC is a time‑limited governance arrangement, designed to give the school additional support through:

  • Experienced leadership
  • Quicker, more agile decision‑making
  • Stronger strategic oversight,
  • Clearer lines of accountability
  • A structure focused on improvement

The IEC will work closely with the Trust’s Executive Leaders and the school’s Senior Leadership Team to ensure that every child at Westbrook Old Hall continues to receive the highest quality education and experiences.
